A deeply emotional week culminated into a burst of creativity last night, as I drew 6 sketches in 30 minutes:

I recently had an Interdojo Anniversary Tournament at my karate dojo, and I won 1st Place Brown Belt Kata, 1st Place Brown Belt Self Defense, and 2nd Place Kumite! ^_^ With all my event standing points added up, I was the female kyu tournament champion! Osu!

May was a fun month - I was on put on avail for two projects, shot three industrials, shot a promo, and began learning bo staff in wushu. I got some behind the scenes pictures from the project that I shot with Phedon Papamichael.

April was a good month for me - I only went on 5 auditions but booked 2 and was on avail for another one :) One of them is a lead role in a music video that is going to be part of a Fujifilm demo reel showcasting a new film stock. The DP was Phedon Papamichael, the cinematographer for the movies "Sideways", "W.", "3:10 to Yuma", and "Walk The Line"! He said that I was really good and my work was genius! Ha ha! I feel so lucky to have worked with such an established cinematographer. They are planning on debuting the demo reel at a convention in June where all of the Hollywood cinematographers will be invited. So exciting!!
The other project that I booked will also be high-profile as it's a secret Disney project where I'm featured in a really fun role. I can't disclose the details yet, but it will be run in a venue where a lot of people will be viewing it constantly! ^_^

I'm in the latest April issue of Costco Connection! I had no idea until a friend saw it and asked if it was me. Goes to show you never know where your stock photography will get picked up!! ^_^

Today I shot a commercial for Intel that will air overseas in China. It's really funny and should begin airing in mid-May, I'll post it up when I can!
I also got my brown belt in Seido Karate! Hurray! I've been studying for two and a half years. My instructors have been teaching for over 27 years but since they opened the Hollywood Dojo three years ago, I am their first adult to begin at white belt and attain brown belt. Next is Advanced Brown, and then Black Belt!
It was a tough two and a half hour promotion, but I did it!
